(Lahore, December 05 2008) The house of HSY announces their exclusive Spring/Summer ‘09 collection this season, in Pakistan. Hot off the ramps at the prestigious Dubai Fashion Week, this couture and Prêt a Porter collection which includes a resort and bridal line is entitled Destination HSY and is inspired by the heady mixing of grace with modernism. Spring/Summer ’09 with HSY offers a polished look symbolized by the abundant use of whites, beiges and muted monotones in lush, pure fabrics. Opulent embellishments create surface texture rather than motif displays and the silhouettes are linear yet elegant. The SS’09 collection is complemented by a range of accessories including bags, shoes and jewelry designed by AM accessories exclusively for HSY.

Talking about his new collection, HSY has said: “This is an exciting new direction for HSY; from specializing in Asian bridal wear we are now also working at creating chic classics that bring more of the dynamism of western-wear into eastern sensibility. This year, following the success garnered from Abu Dhabi fashion week, at Harvey Nichols in Saudi Arabia and shows in London, New York and Chicago, HSY has been nominated for Asian Designer of the year at the Masala! Lifestyle awards in UAE. He is also the first Pakistan based designer to merit features in coveted international magazines Harper’s Bazaar, IQ and OK.

HSY will be showcasing a Spring/Summer 09 capsule collection as part of the Pakistan Fashion Design Council’s collaborative fashion show this winter. The full collection will be available this spring at the newly revamped HSY studio outlet in Pakistan.
